Big money in politics, especially fossil fuel money, is bad for democracy and bad for the future. It undermines our fight towards climate justice by incentivizing politicians to do the fossil fuel industry’s bidding, rather than listen to their constituents. This, combined with government subsidies for oil and gas companies, continue to allow the fossil fuel industry to have a stronghold on the health and safety of our communities.
Today, we’re joined by Ben Jealous of People For the American Way @PFAWdotorg to discuss the grassroots efforts to get big money out of politics and where the Biden administration could make a difference.
