We’re calling on President Joe Biden to use his presidential powers to stop subsidizing and green-lighting coal, oil, and gas extraction. We’ll be joined by Leah Stokes to discuss why the Biden Administration must end fossil fuel giveaways in order to provide the just and equitable relief, recovery, and clean energy future we desperately need.

About the Guest:
Leah is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science and is affiliated with the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management and the Environmental Studies Department at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Leah works on energy, climate and environmental politics. Her book, Short Circuiting Policy, examines the role that utilities have played in promoting climate denial. She has also contributed to the anthology, All We Can Save. Leah completed her PhD in Public Policy at MIT and also received a masters from MIT’s Political Science Department and an MPA in Environmental Science & Policy at Columbia University.
