Corporations like Energy Transfer Partners and Resolute Forest Products are filing multi-million dollar lawsuits to silence those who oppose their social and environmental wrongdoings. This tactic is known as SLAPP, or Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation, and represents a last ditch effort by corporate bullies.

Rachel Meeropol, Senior Staff Attorney at the Center for Constitutional Rights, explains why corporate attacks strengthen our resolve to protect communities and the planet as a united movement.
