Britain Should Stick To Its Principles For Brexit Success
When the United Kingdom leaves the European Union (EU) on January 31, 2020, it will be one of the biggest political shifts in Europe for years. A key risk of Brexit is that it could divide and weaken the EU and the UK at a time when Europe should be a positive force in the world on human rights, climate change, and much else besides. If the UK wants to make a success of Brexit, it should lead by example on human rights. That means redoubling its commitment to human rights at home, and promoting them overseas.
