While Black, Brown, and low-income Californians living near oil drilling are experiencing a public health crisis twice over, our state lawmakers are considering AB 345, a bill that would curb the dangerous practice of neighborhood drilling. But with the pandemic severely limiting the legislature’s window to pass bills, we can’t let this moment fall by the wayside: we need Californians everywhere speaking out in order to get the attention of a few key senators whose support this bill hinges on.
