About the Guests:
Annie Leonard is the Co-Executive Director of Greenpeace USA. Greenpeace operates in over 55 countries around the world, and Annie co-leads the US office. Greenpeace uses research, campaigning, creative communications and when necessary non violent direct action to advance the cause of a green and peaceful future for all. Annie has worked on US and international environmental health and justice issues for over 30 years. Before taking the helm of Greenpeace US, she made a wildly popular short internet film called @The Story of Stuff Project. Annie has also been a close collaborator with Fire Drill Fridays since we first birthed the idea for this project together.
Folabi joined Greenpeace USA at the beginning of 2020 as Democracy Campaign Director. Folabi brings a wealth of experience as a human rights advocate and recognized leader in the global social justice movement. His work has elevated labor movement campaigning, cutting edge environmental justice organizing, and his ongoing commitment to economic, racial, and immigrant justice. Previously, he worked at Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and Amnesty International USA. Folabi holds a doctorate in political science from The George Washington University.
